There are many exotic honeymoon destinations in the world, but none more than Vietnam. Vietnam has become known as one of the world's most fascinating and romantic destinations in Asia. With pristine landscapes, alluring cultures, and incredible hospitality, it's no wonder you can expect to have the ulitmate honeymoon.

We'll start your honeymoon in northern part of Vietnam in the city known as Hanoi. This 1,000 year old city promises to offer you history and tradition. Hanoi's present architecture is mainly from the 19th and 20th centuries, and the stately French-built section of town is largely intact. Hanoi is cleaner, leafier, and quieter than other big cities in Vietnam — in a word, it's "cooler." You will most likely be exhausted after your lengthy flights, but there are a great deal of sites to see and do in this wonderful Vietnamese city. Hanoi's street life is fascinating. In the morning, you may see tai chi practitioners, martial arts exponents, badminton players, and joggers along Hoan Kiem Lake. Bicyclists wearing berets ride past with baguettes tucked into their baskets. Strolling through the old French sector, you can find a street occupied by outdoor barbers clipping their customers in front of mirrors hung off building walls. On Trang Tien Street there's a beautician at work: a woman with a flashlight mounted on her head, cleaning a customer's ears. At street corners in the Old Quarter, men with green pith helmets chat over steaming bowls of noodles. Farther along the street, women sell fresh-cut flowers from the backs of bicycles.

Bicycle or stroll around Hoan Kiem, or the Lake of the Restored Sword as thousands of Hanoians do on weekends. At the crack of dawn locals assemble on the thin parkland perimeter for an hour or so of tai chi, jogging, or badminton. There is a legend from the 15th century that a a humble fisherman named Le Loi asked the heavens for help in resisting the Ming dynasty Chinese who occupied the north. A golden turtle from the lake then brought him a magic sword that flashed like lightning. After leading at insurrection against the Chinese, Le Loi returned to the lake, and the turtle reclaimed the sword.

At the northern end of Hoan Kiem is Ngoc Son Temple, reached by the bright red Sunbeam Bridge, an arched Chinese-style wood en structure built in 1855. Before crossing the bridge you pass Penbrush and Inkslab towers built in 1864 to commemorate the learned school at Nguyen Van Sieu. Ngoc Son Temple is a mixture of temples and gift shops, and is the desired place for Vietnamese to have their pictures taken. Built in the early 19th century, it has undergone a few renovations, most recently in 1994. The temple honors several Vietnamese icons, including Van Xuong, the god of literature; Quan Vu, a martial arts exponent; physician La To; and 13th-century hero Tran Hung Dao. At the back of the shrine is the preserved body of a huge turtle found in the lake in 1968. It weighed 552 pounds and was believed to be 400 years old-some say 500 years old, to make it old enough to serve as the turtle of legend. On an islet at the south end of the lake is a dilapidated three-tiered tower, built in honor of the valiant turtle. Turtles are occasionally still sighted in the lake. On the west bank there is a small temple with a statue of Le Loi.

A stroll through Hanoi's happily chaotic Old Quarter will quickly put to rest the conception that the city is gray, dull, and reserved. In the middle of the Old Quarter you will fine a commerce in trade and handicrafts. The place is full of character and characters. You might come across a woman strolling down a street with a shoulder pole of dual baskets of porcelain, an old woman who reveals blackened teeth when she smiles, or a group of men crouched over bamboo bongs at tiny sidewalk stools. The quarter is a medieval maze of alleys lined with shops, homes, and cafes. It's best to tackle the area on foot,make sure to bring comfortable shoes, allowing time to stop and poke around. Unfortunately, the sidewalks are often blocked by parked motorcycles, the narrow roads filled with bicycles and motorbikes. Just a note of caution when walking around the Old Quarter, sidewalks can be uneven with gravel and other hazards.

One of the most popular attractions in Hanoi is water puppetry. This magical art form is intended for children but will amaze adults as well. Unique to Vietnam, it's seen regularly only in the north. The exact origins of water puppetry are uncertain, but it's known the Red River Delta area nurtured and preserved this traditional theater over many centuries. What goes on under the water is closely guarded secret some puppeteers have t swim under other puppeteers. Water plays a key part in the show-the surface of the water is flaring with a naval battle, or romantically calm when a group of fairies float across. Underwater fireworks bring flashing dragons to life and furnish a haze of smoke for mythical settings. Puppeteers and percussionists provide explosive sound effects-rhythmic mush and zany sound effects maintain the tempo.

Let's explore the southern area of Vietnam known as Ho Chi Minh City, formally known as Saigon. You can either enjoy this historic city tour takes in the most popular attractions for a wholesome Vietnam holiday plan, including the Reunification Palace, Jade Emperor Pagoda, Notre Dame Cathedral and Thien Hau Pagoda. Take a short shopping trip to Ben Thanh Market. This market is one of earliest surviving structures in the city. You'll be able to find local handmade crafts, textiles, and local cuisine. The perfect way to end your day in this amazing city is to take a break at a nearby cafe watching local folks coming and going. Softly with the music, your heart gets under old Saigon's magical spell.

One of the most historic sites located just outside the city is the remainder of a reminder of wartime history buffs' passions, that is the Cu Chi Tunnel System. This system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. These tunnels are nationwide and was the base where the Vietnamese mounted their operations of the Tet Offensive in 1968.

Hiking trails in the park offer unbelievable views of the canyon and lush “forest” environment. The canyon itself is also accessible for hiking, fishing and camping. Kauai’s Na Pali Coast cliffs are pure, rugged beauty, featuring deep, narrow valleys ending sharply at the sea. Waterfalls, swift-flowing streams, and extensive stone-walled terraces remain on the valley bottoms where ancient, native Hawaiians once lived. To see the entire beauty of this island, we highly suggest you do a helicopter ride. You will never experience anything like it in the world. With its hidden waterfalls and canyons, a helicopter ride is the only way to see the beauty Mother Nature has made!

The Big Island of Hawaii offers some of the best natural landscape than any of the other islands/ Home to the most active volcano in the world, Kilauea, you can actually watch the lava flow at Volcanoes National Park in Kilauea. Of course the lava flow depends on the mood of “Madame Pele” who is the Fire Goddess of Hawaii. The best way to see the island and Mother Nature at work is again in a helicopter. The helicopter will take you right up to the edge of the crater for optimum viewing.

Believe it or not, Kilauea is not the tallest volcano, but it is the most active. If you love to hike, then you should definitely visit Mauna Kea. It is the highest point on the island at 13,796 feet above sea level. And, it is higher than 30,000 feet when measured from its rise on the ocean floor–making it one of the tallest mountains in the world from base to summit. Shopping at the Bazaar in Istanbul

Beautiful Izmir

Next, we introduce you to the third largest city in Turkey, Izmir, known as the “Beautiful Izmir”. Wonders of Ephesus

Bodrum

Bodrum, a location known for its climate, natural beauty, magnificent coves and history, is also a place where modern nightlife allows you to party until the sun comes up. The seaside villages, bays and coves are world-famous and each offers its own charm and custom. As for the city, Bodrum has been the imprint of many cultures and civilizations including the Roman and Byzantine. Some of the sites we would recommend is a visit to Bodrum Castle, originally built by The Knight’s of St. John, it is now were the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology. Take a tour of the beautiful bays and coves where you will swim in water that is all different shades of blue. Ballooning over Cappadocia

Cappadocia is a stunning area of worldly rock formations, subterranean churches, and underground dwellings, some of which are over-whelming. The city was a sanctuary for the early Christians who escaped persecution by living and worshipping underground. Two of the most impressive underground cities are Kaymaklı, which has 8 levels, and Derinkuyu, which reaches down to 60 yards. These underground cities, built by Christians in the 7th century to avoid being persecuted, were created as self-sufficient environments which included bedrooms, kitchens and storage rooms. It is also believed there are an estimated 3000 rock churches in this area, not all of them are open to the public. Besides the archeological beauty of this city, Cappadocia is also famous for its carpet-weaving, wines and the distinctive red pottery of the Avanos area.

Beautiful Antalya in the Turkish Riviera

Last, but not least Antalya, the Turkish Riviera. This area is the most stunning area of Turkey’s Mediterranean Coast. This is a thriving modern city, with a historic centre within the old city walls. This area has been revived in recent years, with many of the wooden Ottoman mansions being restored and turned into boutique hotels. Cars are not allowed on the narrow streets of the old town so it is a good place to soak up the atmosphere around the charming harbor. The city is set high on cliffs, with many of its grandest hotels overlooking the sea on the outskirts of the town. The beach area of Lara, the best beach in the area, is known for its golden sand. Houses of Parliament and Big Ben

London - put on your walking shoes as you plan your tour of this amazing city! Being the home of the next Olympics, London has many landmark buildings, beautiful Hyde Park, Piccadilly Circle, theatre district, shopping, and yes, the main residence of the Royal Family, London is probably one of the top 10 most visited cities in the world. Beautiful Bangkik

First up, Bangkok! The capital of Thailand, Bangkok offers sightseeing, restaurants, nightlife and wonderful accommodations. It is considered one of Asia’s most cosmopolitan cities while also being considered a national treasure and Thailand’s spiritual, cultural, political, commercial, educational and diplomatic centers in the country. Split up into 50 different districts, Bangkok is a huge, modern city. With an expansive transportation system, getting around Bangkok is very easy. You can visit any number of sites, but the best way to see this amazing city is on bicycle. With daily or regular departures to the Bangkok Jungle, which is an area across the river from downtown Bangkok where there are few cars or buildings, or through the backstreets of China Town. You definitely don’t want to miss a visit to the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha Temple. Another great way to see the city, there are special boat trips designed for foreign tourists along the Chao Phraya River to take in sites such as the Grand Palace. Whatever you want to experience, you can do it here!

Next up is the 2nd largest city in Thailand, known as the “rose of the North” Chiang Mai. Located in the northern mountains of the country, Chiang Mai is very historical and offers a tremendous amount of culture. Visit the aroros Market and experience the northern Thai way of life. Ride along Tapae Road down through the city walls and along Rajdamnern Road to Wat Phra Singh, which houses a very old and sacred Buddha image. Drive from Wat Phra Singh to Wat Phrathad Doi Suthep, which stands at 3,500 feet above sea level and is the most important temple in Chiang Mai. Visit the famous Chiang Dao Elephant camp where you will be given a private training course to learn the basic commands required to guide an elephant through its daily tasks. Marrakech

The “Pearl of the South” Marrakech was once the capital of an empire that stretched from Toledo to Senegal. Called the “Pink City” because of the color of the local earth used in its construction, it is a city of labyrinthine alleyways, secluded palaces, museums, mosques and markets. The city’s gardens are still supplied with water from 11th-century underground irrigation canals. The Djemaa el Fna, the city square, is full of dancers, fortune-tellers, musicians, acrobats, storytellers and snake charmers. Koutoubia, the 12th-century mosque dominates the Marrakech skyline. The Ben Youssef Medersa, with its mosaics, marbles, and carved woodwork forms part of Marrakech’s UNESCO-listed medina, now a World Heritage site, crammed with architectural masterpieces. Most of the city’s architectural attractions are inside the Medina, the old walled section of the town. Visit the El Badi Palace, which took twenty-five years to build, the 12th-century Koutoubia minaret; and the Saadian Tombs, which display a very high level of decoration, using traditional stucco and delicate Granada-style carving, typical of classical Moroccan buildings. Tour the Bahia Palace, residence of the grand vizier Si Ahmed Ben Moussa and a masterpiece of domestic architecture which provides insight into how the privileged lived in the Imperial city in 19th century. You can also stop at Dar Si Said, one of the most beautiful palaces and home to the museum of Moroccan Arts and Crafts.

Oualidia

Oualidia is the center of Morocco’s oyster industry and offers one of Morocco’s largest areas of abundant bird habitat. Oualidia is an ideal place to swim and surf, sample delicious seafood, or simply relax and walk on the beach.

THE AFRICAN SAFARI HONEYMOON - Romance and Excitement

One of the still truly exotic honeymoon options available is the African safari. Often, many won’t even consider it because 1) they think it is too hard to plan 2) they think it is too far away 3) they think it is dangerous or scary 4) too expensive 5) too dirty.

None of these things are true – well, almost none….it can be pretty dirty, but what’s the fun in clean anyway. But, the reality is the planning should be handled by professionals, the journey is no farther than any other destination fantasy spot, the danger factor is controlled by education, tour guides and good information and the expense is reasonable considering the experience.

The biggest challenge is actually seeing one of the cornerstones of the safari, which is the annual migration of the wildebeests – a display of more than 2 million animals moving in unison over the African plains in search of grass and water. Zebras and gazelles and just about any African animal can be seen on the migration, but often, travelers are disappointed upon arrival to learn they won’t be seeing the herds.

What happened? Bad information, freak of nature, just dumb luck? There’s never a guarantee to seeing the migration, but a best case scenario and good planning offer you the best options when trying to calculate this natural phenomenon.

We have created safaris to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Typically, the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area offers the best opportunity for seeing a resting or moving herd between December and March. Often, the herds settle in the Serengeti’s southern plains to give birth and so December through April/May offers a great chance to see the herds start moving again. Before that, in September the herds are in the northern areas of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and in Kenya’s Masai Mara Reserve. If there is a lack of rain, the herd may travel north or west to Kusini and Naabi Hill on the border of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area. April and May are considered off seasons because of the rain, but there are several lodges that offer great views of the long grass plains and woodland of the western Serengeti almost up to Lake Victoria.

The migration is just one adventure on an African safari. Other great locations for animal site seeing and other exciting adventures include Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Zambia. You can relax in high luxury with the comforts of a spa-style lodge. Eat great food in luxurious surroundings and witness the softer side of nature. Or, rough it and take the adventurous route to explore the African plains, the hot dusty landscapes of the desserts, the clear cool waters of the jungle or the snow capped mountains. You can cruise the Nile, hike, photograph wildlife and the most stunning scenery in the world, and enjoy golfing, bird watching, cycling. There’s no end to the options.

US Airways tells us that starting April 2, they will only accept credit and debit cards for US Airways MarketPlace(tm) food, premium drinks and Power-Nap Sacks on most flights. According to an email to us, US Airways tells us that moving toward a cashless system will help them be more efficient and reduce costs. They will accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo.

They will continue to accept cash, credit or debit cards on flights to and from Europe, South America and the Middle East and cash only on US Airways Express.
